Project Overview

The Wedding Planner App is a tablet-first digital solution designed to simplify and elevate the wedding planning experience, especially for the Indian market. It offers a unified platform where users — from engaged couples to professional planners — can access everything they need to organize a wedding seamlessly.

Key features like vendor discovery, trending ideas, wedding deals, invitation design, and 3D venue decoration with AR and 360° views. By offering all essential tools in one place, the app saves time, reduces costs, and enhances the overall planning experience.

Problem Statement

Planning a wedding involves managing multiple tasks, vendors, and creative decisions, often across different platforms and offline services. This makes the process time-consuming and stressful. There is a need for a unified, visually engaging, and interactive platform that simplifies this experience — especially one that leverages AR to help users visualize their dream wedding space.

There's a need for a centralized, user-friendly platform that brings all essential wedding planning tools together, including modern features like AR venue design, to simplify the experience and empower users to plan confidently and creatively.

User interviews & surveys

User Personas

To better understand the needs and pain points of our target users, we conducted interviews and surveys with engaged couples, wedding planners, and family members involved in organizing weddings. Couples often expressed feeling overwhelmed by having to manage multiple vendors and design decisions across different platforms.

Wedding planners highlighted the need for better visualization tools and smoother communication with clients. Families emphasized cultural preferences and the importance of trust and clarity in booking services. These insights helped shape the app’s features, ensuring it addresses real-world challenges with simplicity and creativity.

User flow

To ensure a smooth user experience, we structured the platform around key user goals like selling produce, booking transport, purchasing fertilizers, and accessing support. A clear and minimal information architecture was developed to reduce cognitive load, especially for first-time digital users.

We created user flows for both farmers and buyers, mapping out each step from login to transaction completion. This helped us prioritize features and design intuitive navigation paths that align with real-world farming tasks.

The visual identity of the Wedding Planner App was crafted to evoke elegance, celebration, and ease. We chose a soft, romantic color palette with pastel tones and subtle gradients to reflect the joyful and emotional nature of weddings. Clean serif and sans-serif typography added a balance of sophistication and readability, ideal for tablet displays.

Custom icons and delicate UI elements were designed to feel modern yet festive, aligning with cultural richness while maintaining a fresh, contemporary look. The goal was to create an inviting and inspiring interface that enhances creativity and decision-making throughout the planning journey.

Design approach

The design approach focused on creating a tablet-first experience that balances functionality with visual appeal. We began by understanding user needs through interviews with couples, families, and planners, identifying core tasks like vendor selection, decor planning, and invitation creation. Using a user-centered design process, we developed intuitive flows, starting with low-fidelity wireframes and gradually refining them into high-fidelity prototypes.

Special attention was given to interactive features like AR-based venue design and drag-and-drop tools, ensuring they remained simple and enjoyable. Every design decision was guided by usability, elegance, and the goal of reducing the stress of wedding planning.
